ABOUT THE EVENT

The 20th Shining Stars Benefit marks 20 years since the merger of four respected agencies who came together to form what is today called Momentum for Mental Health. Join us for an elegant and festive evening as we celebrate our rich history of community service, honor those who have made significant contributions to mental health and/or substance use, raise funds for Momentum and eliminate the stigma surrounding mental illness.

It is anticipated that 300 people will attend Shining Stars this year in support of Momentum’s mission to help individuals achieve mental and emotional health, discover and reach their potential, and fully participate in life.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER

Dr. Vivek H. Murthy served as the 19th Surgeon General of the United States from December 15, 2014 to April 21, 2017. As America’s Doctor, Dr. Murthy created initiatives to tackle our country’s most urgent public health issues.
